Frequently Asked Questions…
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a completely safe, natural state of deep relaxation.
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the use of the hypnosis, the power of the subconscious mind, together with direct positive suggestion and other therapeutic techniques to help you make permanent, positive change in your life and achieve your goals.
What does it feel like to be in hypnosis?
Hypnosis feels like the nice comfortable feeling you get as you drift off to sleep, or like that Sunday morning feeling, when you know you don’t have to get up and your are drifting comfortable along, not quite asleep and not quite awake or when you are relaxing at home in your favourite chair with your feet up and eyes closed. Some people say hypnosis feel a bit like day dreaming, “you still hear everything that is being said and know everything that is going on around you”.
Do I lose control in hypnosis?
No. The hypnotherapy process is your process, therefore you remain in control of that process, throughout.
Does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy has helped bring about positive, permanent change in the lives of many, many people, from stopping smoking to changing unwanted behaviours, reducing and alleviating pain, stress, anxiety, fears and phobias to building self confidence and much, much more.
Hypnotherapy can be a very fast, effective way of helping you create change in your life. Because hypnotherapy deals directly with the subconscious mind, i.e. where all of those old outdated habits, responses and behaviour patterns are stored, it is much easier to release or change those old unwanted patterns and create, new positive ways of being and behaving.
